Newrecon's consultants employ a wide range of influence tactics to advance client interests:
We conduct situational analysis within government circles to gauge current attitudes toward our client. For example, we discreetly investigate how relevant departments in a presidential administration or ministry view the client's reputation and objectives. This insight helps us identify allies and obstacles at the outset.
We engage in both informal and formal communications with key officials. Our team opens channels to the highest-level contacts in vital agencies (e.g., the U.S. State Department, House of Representatives, and the U.S. Senate) to lay the groundwork. Then we facilitate high-level meetings between our client and influential policymakers. When appropriate, we arrange private discussions with heads of relevant government structures to address concerns or opportunities directly.
Newrecon excels at strategic communications and PR to shape public narrative. In coordination with our clients, we can organize supportive press coverage – for instance, placing thought leadership articles or positive news stories in major media outlets. We also leverage respected third parties to bolster credibility. We have commissioned analyses from leading U.S. think tanks, such as The Heritage Foundation, the American Enterprise Institute, and the Cato Institute, to provide independent validation of our client's position.
By involving influential scholars and former officials in these studies, we generate authoritative reports that can favorably influence lawmakers. These "white papers" or analyses often become the basis for political support within institutions like the U.S. State Department or the White House.
Building on those analyses, we coordinate targeted media campaigns. After securing a positive think-tank report, our team arranges for its findings to be echoed in authoritative news outlets. This one-two punch – research followed by media amplification – not only informs officials but also allows our clients to highlight these endorsements in their home country's media (enhancing their stature domestically). We have successfully executed such campaigns to help foreign political candidates gain recognition as worthy partners of the U.S., thereby increasing their legitimacy at home.
We facilitate high-level visits and exchanges. When a foreign client needs direct U.S. exposure, Newrecon organizes visits for them to Washington, D.C. or other political hubs. For example, we have arranged for international candidates to be invited to meet influential members of Congress and key figures in the Administration. Often, we host these meetings at prestigious venues like think tanks or arrange official visits that signal strong U.S. ties. Following a successful visit, we ensure that it receives positive coverage in the U.S. media, reinforcing the narrative of support. Such visits can be pivotal turning points, demonstrating to the world that our Client has earned attention and respect from U.S. leaders.
Throughout each campaign, we remain agile and responsive. Depending on evolving circumstances – shifts in the political climate, changes in key personnel schedules, or international events – we adjust our pace and focus accordingly. Some lobbying efforts can achieve results within one to four months, though timing varies based on the complexity, investment level, and external factors. We always communicate these timelines and variables to our clients, so they know what to expect.
